Questions from dog parents

Common questions about the portal, updates, data safety, and what the care statuses mean.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Everything works in your phone's browser. Your facility sends you a WhatsApp link — tap it and you're in. You can add the portal to your home screen for quick access, but it's not required. No app store, no storage space, no updates to install.

How do I see live updates?

Your portal link takes you to a live stay page that refreshes as caretakers log care throughout the day. You'll see meals, walks, mood checks, and photos appear in real time. For a daily digest, enable push notifications on the portal — you'll get a summary every evening at 7pm IST with a direct link.

What if I have multiple dogs boarding?

Each dog has their own stay page, their own daily updates, and their own report card. If you have two dogs at the same facility, you'll see both on your portal home screen. Each one tracks independently, so Bruno's meals won't get mixed up with Luna's walks.

Is my information safe?

Your portal session is secured with a signed cookie that's verified on every page load — no passwords are stored. Your data is completely isolated to your facility; no other facility can see your dogs, stays, or documents. The share links for daily updates, report cards, and invoices use random tokens that are impossible to guess, and they can be expired or revoked by the facility at any time.

What do the care status terms mean?

Here's a quick guide to the terms you'll see in care logs and updates: Meals — 'Ate fully' means a clean bowl. 'Ate partially' means some left behind. 'Refused' means the meal wasn't touched (the team will note why if they know). 'Special diet given' means a custom meal was served per your instructions. Mood — 'Happy' is tail wagging and playful. 'Calm' is relaxed and content. 'Anxious' means some nervousness (common on day one). 'Restless' is unsettled but not distressed. 'Lethargic' means low energy (the team watches this closely). Poop — 'Normal' is healthy. 'Soft' or 'diarrhea' triggers monitoring. 'Blood' immediately flags a health alert to the manager.

Why is my booking pending approval?

Some facilities require identity verification (KYC) before confirming a stay. If your booking shows 'pending approval', it means the facility needs you to upload an ID document — Aadhaar, PAN, driving license, voter ID, or passport. You can upload it through the Documents section in your portal or via the intake form link sent by the facility. Once your document is reviewed and verified, the booking moves to 'confirmed' automatically.

What happens if my document is rejected?

You'll receive a push notification (if you've enabled them) or a WhatsApp message from the facility explaining the reason — for example, the photo was blurry, the document was expired, or the name didn't match. Simply re-upload a clearer photo or a different document type through your portal. The facility will review it again, and once approved, any pending bookings are cleared for confirmation.
